Twin Pregnancy

Twin pregnancy involves carrying two fetuses simultaneously and can be classified as either fraternal (dizygotic) or identical (monozygotic). Fraternal twins result from the fertilization of two separate eggs by two different sperm, leading to genetically unique siblings. Identical twins arise from the splitting of a single fertilized egg, resulting in two genetically identical fetuses.
