Polypectomy

Polypectomy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure performed to remove polyps from the lining of the uterus (endometrium) or the cervix. Polyps are noncancerous growths that can develop in these areas and may cause abnormal uterine bleeding, infertility, or discomfort. Polypectomy is typically performed using a hysteroscope, a thin, lighted tube with a camera and surgical instruments, allowing the gynecologist to visualize and remove the polyps.
