Myomectomy

Myomectomy is a surgical procedure designed to remove uterine fibroids (also known as myomas or leiomyomas) while preserving the uterus. Uterine fibroids are noncancerous growths that develop from the muscle tissue of the uterus and can cause symptoms such as heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain, frequent urination, and reproductive issues. Myomectomy is particularly beneficial for women who wish to retain their fertility or those who prefer not to undergo a hysterectomy (complete removal of the uterus).
